On Friday, February 3rd, Amsterdam Bar & Hall and MN United (http://www.mnunited.org/) will be throwing a fundraiser to help support the campaign against the proposed Marriage Amendment that will appear on the Ballot in Minnesota in November of 2012, Big Table Studio is hosting a poster show tentatively called "For The Love of Love".
Since this fundraiser will be taking place around the time of Valentine's Day, we thought it would be appropriate to host a poster show that promotes love in all of its forms.

The Amendment seeks to define Marriage in the State of Minnesota as being between one man and one woman - it would create a large barrier for our queer friends and family to ever have the opportunity to Marry in the State of Minnesota (there is NO existing gay marriage here now - this amendment would only make that less attainable).
"For The Love of Love" will be a fundraiser (and also engagement event) to support the campaign against this Amendment. "For The Love of Love" will show that Saint Paul is fighting for all families - and that we stand united against this amendment. We are targeting a slightly younger crowd and also working hard to bring Republicans who are also against this amendment to the party.
Big Table Studio will mount a poster show, in tandem with this event, called "For The Love of Love".
This show will be our Valentine's Day show. Valentine's Day is about love, no matter who that person is. Let's show the world what we believe love is.
